I am lucky to have been able to work as a painter and designer my entire life. As a painter I am able to slow down to investigate moments in time. I interpret light, contrasting colors and form in the scenery of public space, in turn appreciating the rhythms and routines of the culture we all have in common. I believe in living fully, embracing change and fostering meaningful connections to people. I have always been drawn to the direct statements and stories of the Ashcan School. My work highlights visual narratives that draw from collective and individual subjectivity. I dedicate my work to observers that celebrate these moments of humanity.
I have lived in New York City for most my life and love it’s creative energy. I’m also fortunate to have lived in California, Europe and Mexico. I love to travel, small town life in Latin America, music of all kinds, swimming, biking, and spending time with friends and family. For inspiration I like to explored lesser known parts of any city I visit, especially its street life.
