“ Threads” A Cosmic Vision through Connectivity”

Cultural iconography supports and maintains the ideal that “all will be fine”. The Virgin of Guadalupe and Lady Liberty set to remind us that our faith and inalienable rights are “true and in place” and that these contained ideas will somehow resolve deeper problems. We humans can ignore the warnings and maladies all around us and continue with our lives as if nothing unusual or catastrophic is happening. These cultural facades instill the idea that nothing is “that bad”, after all we probably have food, cars, cellphones and bank accounts. I want my audience to take a hard look at their surroundings and critically question their attachments to these so-called “Truths”. If there is no truth, can we move beyond these obvious traps that affect our immediate and distant communities, as well as life itself?
