The Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance(NoMAA), in partnership with Broadway Housing Communities and The Sugar Hill Children’s Museum hosted “Women in the Heights: Creating for Change” Curated by Andrea Arroyo. I was chosen to participate in this amazing group show with an opening on March 8th 2019 which ran for a month. The closing event, held on March 28th, was a powerful evening where Artists, including myself, had to opportunity to speak about their art. There was a large group in attendance and the evening was super insightful as to the “why” artists create. This is an annual exhibition featuring work by women artists of Northern Manhattan. It was my first year to presented in this show.
