LA

During most of 2020 I was fortunate to have lived and painted in the inspiring and welcoming community of Boyle Heights in East Los Angeles. Invited to work in LA by the organization Brujas.nyc, I was lucky to be given the opportunity to dedicate to my painting full-time. The unique community I was invited to be a part of taught me much about meeting people where they are without any preconceived notions or judgements. This allowed me to discover the stories. I was allowed the time and space to discover narratives which to me is sine qua non to soulful expression.
